- Mr. Tan also a member of Institute of Surveyors Malaysia, Association of Private Valuers and Institute of Estate Agents.

- Besides, En Hj Yaacob also is Registered Valuer & Estate Agent (V:137 & E:0011) with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents of Malaysia.
- He is a member of the Institute of Surveyors Malaysia and licensed Auctioneer for the State of Kelantan.
